Subject: Jackie's Got SOUL
Another gem at the Mystic for Jackie and band. This Jackie's got SOUL. It was with much anticipation that we returned to the Mystic again for Jackie which I hope continues to be an annual gathering.

This show is a burner all the way, with the treat of friend and guest Phil Lesh adding to the festivities. "Uphill Mountain" is turning into an anthem, and I loved the Keith Richards style strumming and chunky chords in that and in "I'm So Gone," earlier. Nathan Dale continues to impress with his complimentary guitar playing and backing vocals.

A few other random fun points: The "BirdSong" riffs during "New Speedway," as well as Jackie blowing the lyrics and Lesh cracking up behind him with his big igloo teeth. Ripper highlights include a passionately sung "Animal" > "Parchman Farm," with Jeremy and Bruce laying down a Phat groove. Loved the Beatles-esque vocal ending to "Another Love Gone Bad," followed by a heart wrenching cover of "Don't Let Me Down."

This is a true ARTIST and the band just keeps on delivering the goods. This recording is stellar and is just like you were there. Get there!

Subject: A great show and great quality
I missed the show last night, but this makes me feel like I was there! This is a 4 mic matrix and the sound quality is awesome. Give it a listen, but I think its the best one of this show so far. Downloading lossless now.
